Investigating the power of propaganda posters, I decided to construct a message combating wasteful consumerism through the different logos/logotypes of luxury brands for cars, perfumes, clothes, etc. Essentially, I removed these iconic symbols from their original context and placed them within a new framework that challenges the consumer. In the form of a ransom note, the ability of the viewer to successfully read the message and recognize the brands simultaneously proves how immersed society is in a commercial existence.
